The problem this solves
When you post the same collab across Instagram, TikTok, X, Bluesky and YouTube, the person you're tagging has a different @handle on each one. That normally means writing a different caption per platform, or looking up five handles every time.
A creator tag does it once. You save a creator and their handles, tag them in your caption, and each platform gets the right @handle automatically.
Saving a creator
- In the post composer, click the @ button in the toolbar above your caption.
- Click New creator.
- Give them a name — this is what you'll type in captions.
- Fill in their handle for each platform you know. Leave the rest blank.
- Save.
Enter one handle and we'll look for the rest. If another Autoposter creator already works with the same person, we'll offer their remaining handles so you can fill them in with one click. You'll only ever see handles for creators who have public professional accounts and who more than one customer already knows — nobody's private contacts are ever shared, and we never show whose address book a handle came from.
Tagging someone in a caption
Click the @ button and pick a creator. That drops a tag into your caption that looks like this:

When the post publishes, that tag becomes their real handle on each platform:
- Instagram — @xcalisweetsx
- TikTok — @calisweetsxxx
- X — @calisweetsxxx
- Bluesky — @calisweetsxxx.bsky.social
- YouTube — @calisweetsx
- Facebook — Cali Sweets
Notice Facebook. Where you haven't saved a handle for a platform, we use the creator's name as plain text instead — so you never end up publishing a broken @mention that points at nothing.

Instagram collaborators
If you tag a creator who has an Instagram handle saved, the Instagram options will offer to add them as a collaborator too — so the post appears on both profiles. It only ever offers; it never adds them automatically, because Instagram limits you to 3 collaborators per post and each one sends a real invite.

Common questions
Does the tag show up in my post?
No. Readers only ever see the finished handle or name — the {{@ }} form is just how it looks while you're writing.
What if I rename a creator?
Existing tags keep working. A tag matches on the creator's name or any handle they hold.
Can I edit or remove a creator?
Yes — open the @ button and use Edit or Remove. Clearing a handle field removes that platform, and we'll fall back to their name there.
Is my address book private?
Yes. The creators you save are visible only to your workspace.
What happens if I delete a creator who's tagged in a scheduled post?
That post publishes with their name as plain text rather than a broken tag.
