How to Connect Telegram — Autoposter Help

Why Telegram is different

Every other platform here connects through one Autoposter app. Telegram works the other way round: you create your own bot, and that bot posts to your channel. It takes a few more minutes to set up, and it is worth understanding why.

Telegram allows adult content, but only in private or invite-only channels. If one shared bot were used by everyone and it got banned, every customer would lose Telegram at once. With your own bot, your channel stands on its own.

What you need

A Telegram account
A channel you are an admin of. For adult content this must be private or invite-only.

Step 1 — Create your bot

Open Telegram and search for @BotFather. It is the official bot for making bots.
Send it /newbot.
Give your bot a name and a username. The username has to end in bot.
BotFather replies with a token — a long line that looks like 123456789:AAHdqTcvCH1vGWJx…. Copy the whole thing.

Treat that token like a password. Anyone who has it can post to your channel. If you ever paste it somewhere by accident, send BotFather /revoke and it becomes useless.

Step 2 — Add the bot to your channel

Open your channel in Telegram.
Go to Manage Channel → Administrators → Add Administrator.
Search for your bot by its username and add it.
Make sure Post Messages is switched on.

Adding the bot as a normal subscriber is not enough — it has to be an administrator, or it cannot post.

Step 3 — Connect it in Autoposter

Go to Accounts and choose Telegram.
Paste your bot token. We check it and show you which bot it belongs to — confirm it is the right one.
Click Find my channel, then pick your channel and connect.

If your channel does not appear

Telegram only tells the bot about your channel when something happens in it, and it forgets after about a day. So if you added the bot yesterday and are connecting today, there is nothing left for us to find. Two ways round it:

Post any message in the channel — even just “test” — then click Find my channel again.
If your channel is public, type its @username in the box underneath instead. That works no matter how long ago you added the bot.

Private channels have no @username, so they always use Find my channel. If it still finds nothing, check that the bot in your channel is the same one the token belongs to — easy to mix up if you made more than one.

Posting to Telegram

Stop forwarding and saving — the option worth knowing about. Subscribers can read your post but cannot forward it or save the media. For a paid channel that is real protection you do not get on any other platform here.
Hide behind a tap to reveal — sends the photo or video blurred under Telegram's own spoiler cover, which subscribers tap to open. Good for a teaser or a preview. It covers every file on the post, and is ignored on a text-only post or a poll.
Silent post — publishes without notifying subscribers.
Pin to the top of the channel — pins the post as soon as it goes out, so it sits above everything else for anyone opening your channel. Telegram allows one pinned post at a time, so this replaces whatever is currently pinned. If the pin fails the post still publishes; you will just need to pin it yourself in Telegram.
Remove after this many hours — takes the post out of the channel automatically once the time is up, for offers that should not outlive the deadline. The maximum is 48 hours, because Telegram refuses to delete any post older than that — a limit that applies to you in the app as much as to us. Leave it empty to keep the post up. Only the Telegram copy is removed; the post stays in your history here.
Poll — add two or more answers and the post publishes as a real Telegram poll, with your post text as the question. Up to 12 answers, 100 characters each. You can allow multiple answers, and turn off anonymous voting to see who chose what. A poll is its own kind of Telegram message: it cannot carry media or a link, so any attached media is not sent and your link is left out. Keep polls separate from posts that need a link.
Buttons — up to six tappable buttons under the post, each with a label and a link. A button is far easier to tap than a link inside the caption, so it is the better place for a subscribe or join link. Put {{oflink}} in the link field and the button points at your workspace's paid link automatically. A button with no label, no link, or a link that is not https:// is simply left off rather than failing the post. Buttons you use often belong in a saved set — see below.

Charging for a post

Set a Price in Telegram Stars and the post publishes locked. Subscribers see your caption and a Buy button; the photos and videos only open for the ones who pay. It is Telegram's own paid-post feature, so it works inside the app with no external checkout and nothing for the subscriber to sign up to.

The money is yours and goes straight to you. Telegram credits the Stars to your channel's balance. We never hold it, move it, or take a cut. Your channel has to be set up to receive Stars in Telegram before a paid post will publish.
The price is between 1 and 25,000 Stars. As you type a price the composer shows roughly what it is worth to you in dollars.
What a Star is worth. Telegram pays you about $0.013 per Star — roughly $13 per 1,000 Stars. So 100 Stars is about $1.30 to you, and 500 Stars about $6.50. That figure is Telegram's published payout rate and they can change it whenever they like, so treat the number in the composer as a guide rather than a promise.
Subscribers pay more than you receive. When someone buys Stars inside the iPhone or Android app, Apple and Google take their cut first. What they pay is not something we can show you, because it depends on their country, their taxes and how many Stars they buy at once.
Getting paid takes time. Telegram holds Stars for up to 21 days before they can be withdrawn, and withdrawals go through Fragment. Price accordingly if you are counting on the money quickly.
A paid post needs at least one photo or video — there is nothing to charge for otherwise — and can hold up to ten.
It combines with the rest: stop forwarding and saving, pin it, give it an expiry, add buttons. The tap-to-reveal blur is the one exception, and only because it is redundant — a paid post is already hidden until it is bought.
A poll cannot be paid. A poll carries no media, so there is nothing to sell.

Getting your channel set up to receive Stars

Before a paid post will publish, your channel has to be allowed to sell paid media. Telegram controls this per channel and does not publish the criteria. There is no way for us to check it from here — the setting is not visible to bots — so the honest answer is that you find out by trying. If your channel is not allowed yet, the post fails and we show you Telegram's reason.

Test with one cheap post first. Schedule a paid post at 1 Star to your own channel before you promise anything to subscribers or price up a real set. If it publishes, you are set up. If it fails, nothing has been announced and nothing is lost.

Where your Stars appear

Open your channel in Telegram.
Go to Channel Settings → Statistics → Monetization.
Your Stars balance from paid posts shows there, along with what you can withdraw and when.

If you do not see a Monetization section at all, that is the same signal as a failed paid post: the channel is not set up for it yet.

Getting the money out

Withdrawals go through Fragment, Telegram's own platform. You sign in there with your Telegram account and connect a crypto wallet — Stars are paid out in Telegram's cryptocurrency, not to a bank account or card.
Stars are held for up to 21 days after a sale before they can be withdrawn. That is Telegram's rule and it applies to every Star you earn, so money from a post today is not available today.
There is a minimum balance before a withdrawal can be made. Telegram shows the current threshold on the Monetization screen — check there rather than relying on a number quoted anywhere else, because Telegram changes it.
Telegram takes next to no commission on the Stars themselves. The cut that matters happens on the way in, when a subscriber buys Stars through Apple or Google.

Worth knowing before you rely on it

This is Telegram paying you directly. We never touch the money — it does not pass through Autoposter, and we cannot see your balance, chase a payment or fix a withdrawal. For anything about the money itself, Telegram and Fragment are who you deal with.
Everything above is Telegram's side of the product and they change it without warning. If what you see in the app does not match this guide, the app is right.

Buttons and albums

Buttons work on a text post, a post with one photo or video, a poll and a paid post. They do not work on a post with two or more files, because Telegram sends those as an album and does not allow buttons on an album. That is Telegram's limit, not ours — the composer hides the button fields as soon as you attach a second file, so you are not left wondering where the button went. A paid post is the exception worth knowing: it can hold up to ten files and carry buttons.

Saved buttons

Most creators post the same call to action every time, so you can save it once instead of retyping it. Go to Settings → Telegram buttons and build a set: give it a name, add up to six buttons, and save.

Tick Use by default on one set and it is filled in automatically on every new Telegram post. You can still edit or delete the buttons on any individual post — changing them there does not change the saved set.
Any other set is one click away in the composer: pick it from Use a saved set under Telegram Options. Choosing a set replaces whatever buttons are on the post.
Use {{oflink}} as a link inside a saved set to point at your Telegram link. Change that address once and every saved button follows.
A set needs a name and at least one button with both a label and a link. Only one set can be the default.

Limits to know

Photos up to 10 MB, videos and other files up to 50 MB. Larger files cannot be sent and we will tell you before scheduling.
Captions on a post with media are capped at 1,024 characters. Text-only posts allow more.
No analytics. Telegram does not report views, reactions or reach to apps at all. Your subscriber count is tracked daily and shown on the dashboard; nothing else is available.
Posts appear as the channel, not as your bot. If your channel has Sign Messages switched on, the bot name will show — turn it off if you would rather it did not.
